Father Joseph Lingan serves as Rector of the Jesuit Community at Georgetown University. He is a director of the Spiritual Exercises Retreat with Georgetown’s faculty and staff, as well as a director with the Ignatian Retreats offered to Georgetown’s students and alumni. Prior to his missioning to Georgetown, he served as the 35th President of Gonzaga College High School (Washington, DC), Novice Master for the Maryland, New England and New York Provinces (Syracuse), Socius to the Provincial of the Maryland Province (Baltimore), and Rector/President of St. Michael’s Institute (Spokane). Since childhood, he has been a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
